Remember this couple? They were so stinking cute together and yes now it’s their wedding day. Now I’ve never been to Hoorn and Medemblik. Have to admit never heard the name either so I was very excited about this wedding.
Some family and friends of Ning flew all the way from Singapore to attend the wedding. Her family and friends reminded me of my own as we share the same Asian background. As we moved into the day I felt as if I’ve known them somewhere before. Haha of course it’s not true but I bet you know what I mean.
Their wedding was so touching there were (happy) tears and laughter here and there, but mostly big big laughter. They are so blessed to have been surrounded by loving family and friends.
Ning and Xander it was an honour to have captured your most important day. We wish you happines together because you two truly deserve it.
We started the day directly at the ceremony place, Robacher Watermolen in Hoorn. At first the ceremony was about to take place indoor due to the heavy cloud but thankfully we moved outside.
Watermolen means watermill in English.
Oh there she is our stunning bride.
Xander entered the ceremony place with Thunder from AC/DC.

The wedding officiant unfolded their love story with funny twist.
Yay! Married at last!
Argh isn’t it sweet. Ning’s uncle is the sweetest, it turned out that he’s Indonesian so we got to chat in Bahasa and Javanese obviously.
We took some portraits around the venue before we leave for reception.
The reception was at this charming Kasteel Radboud in Medemblik. We couldn’t help but took more portraits.
Love this.
The speeches were all so touching I almost cried myself.
Ning also gave a speech dedicated to Xander. In between her lines I could definitely relate to her experiences.
They were practising for their dance routine for the last time.
And boy they could dance.It was a very complicated salsa routine. I think my mouth was half open for almost the entire dance.
The wedding cake was pretty purple cupcakes that Ning made herself day before the wedding.
