Remember how I blogged about how I wanted to shoot film more. And that blog post was like in December 2010……Eeek….what ever happened? But it’s better be late than not. In the height of this summer I was inspired again! Asked Peter which one of his camera that would be ok (read : easy) for me to use. And he recommended the SLR Olympus OM1 with 50mm lens. Problem is since he shoots mostly in black and white while I’m crazy about colours, he didn’t have good color film. But that’s ok because I didn’t want to waste a really good film on this time trial. So we picked whatever we had lying around which if I’m not mistaken was Dyson or Dyxon film.
Off we went to Kijkduin, a beach in Holland. Just playing around with the camera. After 24 clicks it was finished and I was itching to see the result. One thing I dislike about analog that I have to wait! And patience is not my virtue. I personally like the outcome of it although the colour I’m not so crazy about but that’s ok since we used a random film.

Yes, I agree. I love that the pictures look so vintage. Lucky to still have a film camera in working condition. How were you able to have digital copies for the blog? Or am I so technologically challenged.
It’s very easy, nowadays theres scanners dedicated to scan the film negatives into digital
